Bequeen Spoons came to be, back in the summer of 2015. At the time Pastry Chef Yarisis Jacobo, was looking to buy some quenelle spoons for her tool kit. But during her search she realized that no one really made and sold spoons specifically for quenelles. You just did what everyone else always did, you go to the thrift shop, rummage thru mom’s silverware, pilfer that nice spoon from that restaurant you like to go to when you finally have a day off that doesn’t include laying in bed all day. So, she decided to design one herself. She worked for over 2 years, adjusting and tweaking the design until it was just what she needed. She launched in June of 2017. Providing fellow chefs with a tool designed to quenelle anything your heart desires. Our spoons are made of 18/10 stainless steel, making them sturdy enough for daily use and your hardest ice cream.
Yarisis is a fulltime Pastry Chef working in New York City. She grew up in the Uptown Manhattan neighborhood of Inwood. She attended the Art Institute of NY after graduating High School and received her degree in Culinary Arts & Restaurant Management. She has been working professionally as a cook and now a chef, since she was 19 years old.
